    Guys,

Newegg's running a pretty nice combo sale on the Intel 975 and an ATI X1900XT. I'm more curious than anything as this isn't a showstopper issue for me, but has there been any "official" and confirmed understanding of whether or not this board will support Conroe.

X-bit labs - Hardware news - i975X Based Mainboards Acquire Conroe Support.

From what I understand (according to that Xbit link) if the Intel 975X board is the 304 revision or higher, Conroe is supported. It's definitely a good buy if you'd get the board, and there's a good chance you will. However, I can't shake the notion that it might not be a good idea to jump on it right now. I'd wait unit Conroe is out, or you can verify that the board you'll get is a 304 revision. If not, then you're SOL as a simple BIOS update won't get you anywhere due to the VRM specification that Conroe requires (lower voltage).
