Hi I need some advice to upgrade my quite outdated desktop PC. I have an Intel P4 D865GBF_ board with 80GB HDD and 512 MB ddr ram. I want to upgrade to 160gb and 2gb ram. Will the following be sufficinet for my requirement. Hi you will need to get DDR ram not DDR2. So buy two 1gb sticks of DDR ram 400mhz. your board supports dual channel and 400mhz is the maximum memory bus frequency it can handle, you will notice a good gain from that. The hard drive is fine but I would recommend Western Digital.
