can anyone help my system keeps reseting i think its to do with the temperature of my CPU could you please tell me what it should be and if theres any program or anything that can i have pressed F2 settings and it says 56 degrees??? thanks egg
Is this a self-build PC or a ready made? What CPU? Assuming this is your BIOS reading, it is a bit high but not excessive... Not all restarting problems are heat related. You might be looking at a dodgy PSU. Try SpeedFan to see if your mobo is supported. and then see what readings you get.
Also what CPU is it? If it's a Prescott core then I wouldn't be surprised, if it was an Athlon64 then I'd be concerned...
56*C at idle is a bit on the warm side. Like others have mentioned, the specs of the system, including power supply, would be very nice to have in troubleshooting your system. Other questions: -When is it restarting? -Are you getting blue screens? --If so, what do they say? -How long has this been going on?
What? Seriously you keep posting absolute rubbish. It depends on the type of CPU as different CPU's run at different temperatures and have different limits, and just adding more fans isn't an answer, a more effective thing to do could be: 1) Clear any dust in the case to allow more air flow. 2) Get a new CPU heatsink and fan to cool the CPU. Please stop posting silly things.
