How do I create icons for my most commonly used programs, like Open Office (a new office application that is just getting out of the door) and the Calculator. What I'm talking about is a small icon that appears on my desktop that I can double click and it will take me to that program instantly, so I don't have to go through the start menu. Thanks.

 

have you thought of using the Quick Launch toolbar (i assume your using XP)
