CS:S lag

in the past week ive incoutnered a diffrent type of lag. i'll be playing coutner strike source when all of a sudden it seems a little choppy, so i stop pressing every button but i just keep running, im recieving everything alright, ppl are still shooting at me and i can still aim where to run, but i cant stop running. so i took a look at the net data. i say that my K/S rate for out was signifigantly dropping once i began to move.
i will also say that i recently hooked my xbox to my pc for a shared connection, i thought that this would be the problem so i took it off and set everything back, but it still happens. what could be the problem? thanks luke.

Are you running a router?
If so make sure you have your most current firmware...
and if you have a Linksys router Im sorry but i've experienced the same problem and you baiscally S.O.L. I got the Mocrosoft Wireless/Wired router and it works like a charm with 4 wired computers and 3 laptops all using bandwidth at the same time and I only spike at around 110 (on West coast servers and Im east coast)
