I have a p4 3.2ghz HT cpu, 1gb ocz high perf. ddr400 ram in dual channel mode.
(I know this is not impressive) windows xp pro sp2 oem (comp is a dell precision 360)
When I am running with both, my WD 80gb primary master (7200 rpm 8mb buffer PATA)
and either my other wd 120gb 7200rpm or my hitachi 40gb 7200rpm, data copies
and moves at less than usb 1.1 speeds from either hard drive to my wd 250gb external.
Also, when I test the speed of my primary drive with either of the 2 other drives installed as primary slave, the speed is very slow.
If I take it down to only running the primary master drive, data copies happily
at usb 2.0 speeds from the hard drive to my external hard drive.
Also, when I speed test the primary hard drive (80gb WD 7200rpm PATA)
when it's the only hard drive installed, the speed test yields the best results possible for the drive.
It just started doing this a couple days ago. I've had this machine for a couple months total, and it never had this prob before.

Could the power supply be on it's way out?

It's certainly not underpowered if it's in good shape. (330 watt)

Are you able to connect the two slaves to the Secundary IDE connector, eventually combining them with the cd/dvd drive instead of the primary hard drive?
