Ive managed to get my computers to connect to each other but I cant do anything else. Ive got two PCs next to each other, connected at 4Mbps with a parallel cable. I want to have a link in the white pcs "my documents" to the black pcs "my documents" and vice versa. Its just do I can drag and drop files to each others "my documents". I also want to let the white pc use the black pcs printer. Ive right clicked on "my documents" and selected share. Ive also spent ages messing with the users etc. One PC has windows 2000 pro and the other xp home. The 2000 pro pc has a user account which we use all the time (its the net pc) and the xp home pc just has an admin account. (its the typewriter!) Ive tried right clicking and adding a new shortcut by directing the shortcut to "my network places" but there is nothing about the dcc connection. The only thing that is there makes the pc hang for a bit then it flashes up some box telling me to "$*" off. Can anyone help! Thanks
Ok Ive got it now. Im having difficulty getting the host to access the guest pc but ive got the guest accessing the host ok.
I've never got Windows file sharing working. Ever. It always gave me some crap about not being able to access the damn resource.
