Hey everyone! Sorry for not posting as much as usual. Now, let me explain why... I've been placed in charge of providing three things for the company I work for, before we get moved into our brand new building (nearing completion). Those three things are as follows: 1): Network infrastructure 2): Phone infastructure 3): Security (CCTV) Of those three things, I know a good deal about item 1, and that's all. I'm more or less clueless about digital phone systems (PBX) and video surveillance. We're a small/medium-sized corperation with limited financing, so the bulk of this is going to fall on my shoulders (although I can hire outside help). I'm scrambling to learn enough to implement a solid, low-cost solution. Has anybody had to deal with either a PBX or CCTV setup? I'm looking into some Open-Source Linux-based solutions for both the PBX and the CCTV. Also checking out a proprietary Linux-based video surveillance system* and a proprietary PBX* as well (both actually run Linux). Any input at all? I'm drowning here... -AT
I really wish I could help you...but you know how little I know...if I could I most definitely would...sorry!
I wish I could give you a hand...you might want to check in at the 2CPU forums as there's quite a bit of professional geeks that hang out there and might have some real insight into what you want. Lots of sys admins there, so you'll feel comfortable.
I certainly can't be of any help to you, of which I wish I could be. But I can wish you good luck, you'll pull it off :good:
