Im not quite sure of the hardware your talking about..... but is it controlled with a normal remote? (aka infa red).

I saw a project awhile ago which made a infa red remote extender, that allowed you to controll devices in diffrent rooms (cd player etc).

    worked something like this:

[device Remote] >beam in> [listening box] <><><><>wireless connection <><><><> [talking box] >beam out> [Device that remote controlls]

you would have to build it from scratch (buy compenents, solder them onto a board etc) but if your interested i'll see if i can find it again!

You can get boxes that allow you to operate the video and tv n stuff from places like curry's n that. Shouldn't be too hard to find one. Ebay will be my first place to look.

    *agrees with zeus*

I spent awhile thinking of everythign i could to find the project in google, no luck :(

What i did find however, was a few things which did the same... i even found i box which you can controll with a computer over ethernet (to tell it what signals to send) but it was $200 :p

Have a look around high street shops (or google / froogle) and see if theres anything suitable.... you might be better off with a another decoder (as most of the things i found wearnt overly cheap for what they where).

Good luck (and sorry about not being able to fin dit again)
