You should have a CD that came with the Player? If so just run that and it will install the driver for you - just follow the on scren instructions.

If you have no CD, or have already tried that, then let us know what you have tried as opposed to a vague explanation.

    Thanks :)

Thanks for your reply I have installed from the CD that came with the walkman no joy. I have downloaded the most redent software with up todate drivers still no joy, I have uninstalled all software rebooted and reinstalled no joy as advised by the sony live chat line updated my XP with the most current service packs still no joy. I am now at the end of road with it.

    Thanks again

What happens when you attach the player to the pc via USB (presumably thats how it is connected)?

If a window pops up informing you that new hardware was detected, then run that wizard, browse to the location of the drivers and see if that will install it.

If nothing pops up, or the device isn't even detected, it could be a number of things.

When I first plugged it in I ran the wizard and it came up saying that it was not properly installed something about an INF file. When I look in the device manager it has a yellow dot on it. I have tried millions of times to reinstall and update the driver and I still get the same thing. I know it is not the USB lead as I tried it on something else and it worked.:)

Make sure you follow the installation instructions to the letter, if it tells you not to connect the hardware until after the drivers have been installed then do it.
