I was scouring newegg just for the heck of it and as everyone likes the DFI lanparty series I thought I'd check them out. But all of a sudden I get all these boards that look exactly the same! Can anyone explain the difference between the following 3, thanks: DFI LP UT nF4 SLI-D DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 SLI-DR Another DFI LANPARTY nF4 SLI-DR There's also a LanParty board based on the nForce4 Ultra north bridge so I can understand the difference there, though it's still SLi compatable, you just need to buy the link Hope you dudes can shine some light on this:good:
i can explain the difference between the bottom one and the other 2, look 2 say DFI LANPARTY UT NF4, and one says DFI LANPARTY NF4, UT is just another version, eg infinity
Yeah I noticed that, I don't know why I typed "another", I just wondered if there was any physical or constructional difference, that could include features too.
I think it is just a name, as in Unreal Tournement, just so they can say, "HAHAHA we have Unreal Tournement scribbled on our board!". Not sure but I think thats what it is. A little like the Fatal1ty series from ABIT, They just have it so they can say, "HAHAHA the best gamer in the history of mankind endorses our board". But then again the Fatal1tys do have more features thatn the regular ones. Look for extra e-net ports and SATA I vs. SATA II. It also may come with Unreal Tournement. Now you've got me interested, I shall go look. EDIT: Ok, the non UT boards are non UV reactive. Also the most expensive cannot do RAID 0+1. The middle price board has only 6 audio channels as oppsed to 8 on the others. Finally the most expensive has an OC'ing utility.
Ah, good eyes bud, thanks:good:, I suppose in the future this will probably help me out, as for now it's just one of those little curiosities.
yea it could be, i was wondering if the UT meant unreal tournament, becouse i hear UT is very very very very very very very very very very popular for lan party's and well its apparently one of the most popular online games out, well at least in 2k4 it was :\
