    Guys,

i really need some quick help here,
i have to do do a hardware presentatio, personal statement, a relational database and loads of spreadsheets, all of this by 2 today!!!! i have 4 hours.....

i have to do a hardware presentaiom at 2 today, and i have to speak about the difference between amd and intel....

Okay, i know that AMD are faster then Intel with applications such as games, and i know that Intels are better for applications such as video editing,i also know that intel have higher clockspeeds than amd, but amds run quote lower speeds but run the sam espeed...or something.

what i need, and what would be greatly apprecitaed would be a quick breakdown, of the difference between the two, it dose not have to be a massive explanation, just the facts.

    Thank you in advance!!!!

    You are kidding right?
You want a quick breakdown of the differences between two different approaches?

    In four hours?

I cannot remember joining this form because it offered "homework club" support.... mmmmm

Yeah this forum isn't real time chat, you can't expect an answer you can hope for one but maybe at that time no-one thought they could answer the question with sufficient detail to warrant a reply.
Plus leaving it until when you did isn't a smart thing to do...

AMD is a different company than Intel.

    Intel=Pentium, Celeron, Xeon & Itanium CPU's
AMD=Athlon, Sempron, Opteron, Duron (out of production), K6 CPU's.

Intel's CPU philosophy (although this is changing): higher speeds instead of more work per clock cycle.
AMD's CPU philospy: lower speeds with more work per clock cycle.

As far as getting quick answers, don't rely on forum feedback if you're trying to meet a deadline. This isn't the matrix, and unlike my post count may indicate, I'm not a consiciousness with a direct internet connection to my brain. I kinda assume this is true for everyone else...If you had more time, we'd be much better, but not with four hours of time to work with.

It's not abuse, it's advice, just don't leave it so late and expect a forum to be able to answer your questions that quickly, yeah sometimes threads/posts get a reply a few minutes later, sometimes a few hours but sometimes they don't get answered as the appropriate person(s) are not online at the time.
Hardwareforums generally has a very fast reply time, most of the time there is an active member/knowledgeable member online for support. Forums are not real-time chat, threads and posts are answered at the persons leisure, not when someone else wants them to.
