When upgrading to a new directx, is it best to uninstall the previous one? Is that even possible? I know that when updating video card drivers, u're supposed to fully uninstall the current video card drivers b4 installing the new ones. Is that method supposed to be done with directx also? In the add/remove programs list, I have an item called DirectX 9 Hotfix - KB839643 (I'm on WinXP pro). That's it, isn't it? If I wanted to uninstall directx, I'd just remove that, wouldn't I? I have no idea what that KB83... junk means, though. I've had directx 9.0b for a long time, but now I just installed Battlefield 2, and it's prompting me to install directx 9.0c. So that's why I'm asking. Thanks.
