I have a Predator G6-710 Windows 10 64 bit Nvidia gtx 980 Standard Display Connectors Dual Link DVI-I, HDMI 2.0, 3x DisplayPort 1.2 The hdmi to hdmi works on everything, monitor, tv I purchased two of SPEEX Gold Plated DisplayPort to HDMI Cable (SPEEX DP to HDMI) 1080p (15Ft) I want three monitors. 1) hdmi to hdmi the other two dp to hdmi The two other displays are TV's.. I have tried everything, but the only port that works is the hdmi. Yes, I downloaded the latest drivers. Yes, I tried unpowering the monitors, switching them.. This is a predator. It is a monster machine. I also changed the power manage mode(Max performance) in Nvidia's manage 3d settings What is strange is there is no app/setting or signal. I would think there'd be at least a signal? help
If you already tried Win+P button to activate multiple displays, then those cables may be defective. They are quite long so high quality is needed.
Thanks. I did try win+P, nothing. I hear you on the cords. My issue is why isn't there a way to tell if something is plugged into the display port? I can't find anyway to activate it, read it disable it, nothing. This is like working with those com ports back in the early 90's.
It's supposed to work like "plug and play" -style so that's why it's somewhat less advanced than COM-ports in certain ways. Adding led that tells something is connected like on RJ-45 LAN port would be good idea but it adds cost (very little but still) so not many like to add it.
