display prob wit 5900xt card

    hi evryone,ive a real prob wit the nvidia geforceFX 5900xt card.when i boot up using the card i see mulitple vertical colorful lines on da monitor.(CRT).its a brand new card. my specs r:

    ALBATRON nvidia geforceFX 5900XT card 128MB. agp8x
    P4 Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-8SIMLH-P SiS 651 chipset
    256mb ddr ram
    agp4x-my board supports up to 4x

    ive installed the latest drivers 66.93. i am currently using a geforce4 mx440 128mb agp8x card.this wox fine.
    can anyone tel me wats wrong.all the cables r fine.do i have to do anything wit the registry???

    Firstly check the card is properly seated in the motherboard.

    Then check the connections and monitor cable.

    Then reinstall the latest drivers for your graphics card.

    If this doesn't help, can you either use a different card or try the monitor on another computer? If so, we can narrow it down to being a faulty card, or a faulty monitor.

    It sounds like the refresh rate is out of the monitor's range. Try a lower resolution and/or a lower refresh rate.

    my refresh rate is 60hz n i have a Diamond view 15" CRT monitor. m using 1024*768*32...

    i fixed it dudes. well i ddnt see that i also had to plug in a power supply cable in the card. now it wox fine.thx alot geeks.
