    Hi All

I have DLink Router DSL-502T, orginial it come with an EU Firmware version "V1.00B02T02.EU.20040823",
Recently i upgrade it to new EU Firmware "V2.00B01T01.EU.20050608", its very nice, but has some small bugs i think
but i read alot about the features and bug fixed in the AU Firmwares, i checked for a newer version of EU but no new.

So i want to know, if i upgrade my current EU Firmware to the latest AU Firmware
Is it will work correctly or i will have problems cuz i don't live in Australia?

    Thanks alot

    Welcome to hardwareforums THE_BAT

i wouldn't risk it, i can allmost guarantee you will have problems! the versions are regional for a good reason :)

i suspect the biggest problem would be loss of your internet connection! :p

    what problems are you having?

    Thanks alot Impotence :)

    the bugs i face, like
if any application need 2 ports to be open ( TCP & UDP ), i can't add them under one rule like before, i must create a rule per port.

and also i can not save the settings without reboot like before (but no problem with it).

    Thansk again Impotence.

Try looking to see if there is a "port range forwarding" table, with my linksys router i have a port forwarding table (separate rule per port per protocol) and port range forwarding table (where i can choose to forward ports a to b (ie 100 to 200) for tcp, udp or tcp & udp to a single computer).

No idea what Dlink is like though, but i would hope they don't remove functionality to try and sell more expensive models!

DLink has port range, but i don't mean this

in the previous version, i can create a rule named "eMule" For example then add a rule for the TCP port and then a rule for the UDP port under same name.

but now i can't, i must create rule for each one like "eMuleTCP", "eMuleUDP" for example.

Thanks alot Impotence for your great help
