My computer has been kinda batty tonight. I did a reboot and saw a wee bit of smoke come out of the psu. Does this more than likely mean my cpu, mobo, anything else is dead? Or just the psu?

    Thanks

Its probably just the PSU. Ive had a couple blow up, ive even had a smoldering cpu but in each case its just been the smoking component which has died.

Have a look at BigB's PSU post.. there is a list of recommended manufacturers thats worth having a look at. You get get a PSU for £5 but in the long run its better to spend £30 upwards. Hiper seem do the cheapest supplies, I think they do a 300-350w one for about £30.

If thats happening I suggest you no longer use your computer until you get the PSU replaced, before it starts damaging something.
