Yes, they're making a Doom 3 movie, and you'll never guess who they've picked for the lead role. The Rock...

It was originally rumoured to be only a PG-13 but the rumours have been denied and replaced with a fact it's going to be an R rated film.

Yes, but you neglected to mention that it won't take place on Mars, and will *not* feature deamons. So let's see If I got this right...

  • No Demons.
  • No Mars.
  • The Rock.

How can you you have Doom 3 without mars and demons!! Boy talk about straying off the tracks, I can see the Rock as the main dude, I don't like it but I could happen. Seems more like an Arnold thing though.
And making a PG-13 Doom 3 is as natural as doing the same to Texas Chainsaw Massacre, it can't be done without making the movie 30 minutes long.
 
Arnold is a bit past it for the Marine, I would have though Vin Diesel would have the look more than The Rock as Mr. Rock has more of a fake Hollywood look in his films whereas Vin looks at least more roughed up.

But if it's not on Mars or with Demons, why call it Doom? Might as well call it "Alien Attack" or something like that. It would be like having a Warhammer 40K film without Space Marines or Orcs and not set on a far-off world in another galaxy. :x:

and its a pg13???

So we can add to the list:

  • No Blood.
  • No Eviscerated Corpses.
  • No Lesbianism.
  • No Gore.
  • No Swearing.
  • No Darkness, just plenty of light so as not to scare the stupid 13 year olds.

I'd rather see Christian Bale instead of the rock. I don't like beefy people running around without proper mobility due to muscle :)
