I have a problem with a client PC running win98 which one of our servers communicates with daily. The comms runs a dos windows at the other end (a batch file which gathers information for sending back to head-office) but it never seemed to run.

I then dialled in remotely and it shows the window open but blank. However, if I click on the window, it suddenly starts running and all is ok again. This is quite a recent problem and these machines are not used for any other purpose so no other software was installed that could interfere.

I've never seen this before, but might any of you? If so did you find a way of getting it to run as normal again?

Are you able to post the batch script?

Could it be that, it can't communicate with the server when it runs so ends up getting stuck?
