DSL ping peak problems

I have dsl 768/128 .... and I USED to play online games such Americas Army...

Before with ISDN 1 channel (64k) it was Ok....with 2 even better..

I gained DSL..and I have strange DSL ping peak problem.
First I have normal ping (cca 100-200) but suddenly in couple of minutes it raises to 2.000 - 3.000 ...

I am using Kerio firewall, Avast Antivirus (On-Access)...I "clean" my comp with AdAware Pro and SpyBoot S&D.

Is there a solution for my problem? or give me some hint to make this normal...

First off i would remove your firewall and anti-virus, and install Sygate Personal Firewall & AVG 7.0 (Anti-Virus) you can find these in the Download Zone.

If that does not work I would have your phone line that the DSL is using checked for any static - they can fix this their end (your provider).

Before you try and other solutions, please note that a 100-200 Ping on a 768/128Kbps connection is incredibly high, you should easily be getting 20-50 Ping.

Next i would phone your Internet Service Provider (ISP) and ask them about it on a technical basis, telling them what you have already done.
