    Hello everybody

I'v spent a fair bit of time looking around, and still arn't too sure whats going on!

I am running 2Gb of PC3200 RAM consisting of 4x512 sticks (all PC3200) and an AMD Sempron 3000+ (Venice) on a Gigabyte GA-K8N Pro-SLI motherboard. If it helps my OS is XP Pro

When I boot up, it proclaims that my RAM is running at 200Mhz in Single Channel mode, I can't understand why. This is confimed by CPU-Z, although the stick in DIMM1 has no manufacturer and only one column in the timings table contains info, while all of my other 3 sticks have info there. Also, the manufacturer of these three sticks is nanya technology.

I know that all of these sticks, the motherboard and the CPU are able to handle Dual Channel so thats not the problem. Even if the stick in DIMM1 is preventing Dual Channel, why arn't they all running at 400Mhz as they should?

I will download and run Memtest over tonight, but thought i'd asks you guys / girls for advice at the same time in case a single damaged stick has little to do with it.

I would be greatful if anybody would be able to shed some light on this for me.

    Thanks
    Tom

Its DDR - Dual Data Rate. 200=400. Probable the one off brand stick has it thrown off. Just put 2 of the same brand sticks in and see if it goes into dual channel
