Hi, i have just set up dual monitors, but the second monitor, all it is is a background, is there any apps or hacks for my display drivers that can do more with dual monitor setup, for example, extende the blue taskbar at the bottom to both monitors, have different background on each monitor etc..

I'm not sure about ATI but with my nVidia there's many options and really cool and informative descriptions, you can set it up manually or use the 'Display Wizard' to configure and set it up yourself.
You may need to look for the 'Span' option to get the Taskbar to stretch across both screens, you've probably got it on something like 'Dual View' at the minute.

You're in luck, there is. Unfortuantely, it isn't free. Get UltraMon ( Realtime Soft UltraMon ). this lets you extend the taskbar, maximize windows to both screens, and run different screen savers on each screen, among some other things.

You can download it for free but that is a trial version. After the 30 days you will have to buy it.
