I have a dvd-r with a large Microsoft Word document on it. I can't get my Toshiba Satellite to recognize it and open it to the laptop so I can continue with it. In "Properties" it indicates the disk is full. Anything else will not recognize it. I have tried it on other computers with the same result.

I went to a web site that others spoke of the same problem and spoke of a driver I need. I didn't write it down and now can't find the site.

    Help!

If you didn't finalize the DVD (going by how CD burning works), that might be the reason that the DVD can't be read on other systems...at least not without having some software on the laptop that's used for burning (and it doesn't matter if the laptop can burn anything or not). There is a technical explanation for this, but I can't recall what it is.
