hi! I have a pc w/ two dvd drives and they're being 'forgotten' by the pc after a while. could those drives really require drivers?
So, up until yesterday, only one drive on bootup was detected (which later disappeared when using the OS), but the other wasn't. That made me worry. I opened the case and removed both drives to see if jumpers were incorrectly configured. Everything seemed to be fine. Reconnected everything nice and firmly and :doh: now they're being detected and haven't disappeared since. Funny, what might've been the problem... no power issues, obviously, because the undetected drive could be opened. solved! ... in a sence, that is
