Ive recently just purchased an external DVD writer (Pioneer 106). When I plug it into my computer, windows shuts down, and I get a blue screen of death!!. My computer runs on Windows XP (Servicepack2), and I have been advised that SP2 may be the problem. I have downloaded and tried to run the firmware, but I have to have the DVD writer plugged in to my PC to run this. This is impossible as I get the BSOD as mentioned above. Would appreciate any advice or guidance

Please do not post the same problem twice.

I appreciate your problem hasn't been resolved, but double posting will only get it closed.

You should reply again to your previous post with more information or anything else you have tried.

    Thanks.
