Hello all. Im new to this forum.

I have a brand new Viewsonic vx922. I have a BFG 6800GT OC. Here is my issue:

I get horizontal lines in random places on the screen when running native resolution (1280x1024) through DVI @ 75Hz. It will run fine at 75Hz with any other resolution. The specs say it will do 75Hz. I've tried the factory DVI-D cable and my own more expensive "gold plated whatever" cable, each producing the same results.

I called viewsonic, they told me they don't have a solution and they do not recognize it as a problem and I should just settle for 60Hz, because the problem does not exist if I run 60hz.

Furthermore, I've been searching for about two days to find out if refresh rate actually affects DVI. Does it? I am new to the DVI scene because I have been using a high-end CRT until now. Thanks for any help and suggestions.

I am used to my CRT running 1280x1024 at 140Hz. I realize that this is the fastest LCD out right now which is still a downgrade from the CRT but I'm just trying to get the most out of it.

Edit: forgot to mention that I am also using the latest forceware drivers and it is not overclocked. Running XP Pro, 2gb ram, p4 2.8, etc etc.
