Using my rig's set up, I'm wondering if I would have to upgrade the CPU and Mobo - if I wanted to upgrade to a DX10 card?

I'm new to gaming...at age 21. I guess I'm more of an enthusiast if anything (Techie). But duhh, yes. BTW, I know enough to build and troubleshoot with computers (software in particular), but not to the extent of experienced, long-time gamers.

It would suck balls to have to upgrade the CPU and Mobo if I wanted to upgrade the GPU.

your hardware appears to be fine your cpu is very state-of-the-art so no problems there, your mobo has PCE-Ex so thats ok you'd only need to upgrade your cpu to allow DX10 if it wasn't 64-bit compliant, as you may know DX10 will not be available with Windows XP (Vista will be the main OS for support over DX10)
