Hi. Good day to all. I wish to upgrade my processor from the celeron 430 to an E3300. They say that I need to upgrade my BIOS...uhmmm...I don't really get how this works. Can somebody kindly explain this to me or provide a link that would provide an explanation, and a download link would be nice too :) if this is a download-able software.

Oh, BTW my board is a MS-7387. if that could help,

Hope anybody would care to reply
    Thanks :)

You need to go to the manufacturer's website who made the bios for your system board. They will have updates that you can flash your bios with. Sometimes, you have to put it on a floppy disk or cd-rom and then boot to it to run the update. Some other companies let you flash the Bios from inside of windows using their software. Just be sure you have stable power when you are flashing the BIOS because if something goes wrong, it can cause problems with the board or even leave it unusable depending on the system board. So the first thing you need to do is determine what kind of BIOS your mother board has. Usually when you first boot you will see a BIOS message at the top of the screen saying like Phoenix or Ameritrends or some other BIOS manufacturer. You can also try going into the BIOS and they usually have the BIOS manufacturer and version listed in there as well.
