e6600 or e6700

    im saving up for some bits for my pc, i know im gona get antec 900 case and a artic freezer pro 7. but i also need to upgrade my processor and was wondaring is it worth going that little bit more for the e6700 or just go for the popular e6600?

    You'll probably be able to overclock the E6600 very well, so I would go for that.

    E6600 and 6700 both have the same L2 Cache, Its not worth the extra money for the few hundred MHz extra. You can Easily overclock the E6600 to 2.666GHz if you wanted too.

    Like everyone said above - save some bones and go with the e6600. The e6700 isn't worth the extra $$ yet.

    My e6600 is working good...

    Is what i have heard right, that intel will be dropping their prices soon, and i heard the quad core Q6600 will be near £200!!!

    Go for E6420 and oveclock it. And if you gonna wait... yes Q6600 will be a good choise.
