While ECS may not be on everyone's short list, you might check out [H]ard|OCP's review of the AM2/Crossfire board, the KA3-MVP:
The ECS KA3 MVP Extreme is an extremely solid CrossFire platform that delivers great performance numbers. Its only shortcoming is in the overclocking department; hardcore enthusiasts need to look elsewhere. Maybe we will see a PCIe bus lock in the future that would open up this motherboard’s abilities. ECS has done another very good job when it comes to layout and motherboard quality. It is hard to argue with ECS as being a solid platform for an ATI Xpress 3200 CrossFire system. It just works, and works well.
Given ECS pricing, this should also be a fairly inexpensive motherboard, which combined with excellent performance leaves a nice little board.
