Education supresses independent thinking?

Yea Singapore. Their education system is supposed to be very good. (But its the chinese students that take the glory though)
Don't know if it suppresses independent thinking. Suppose it just depends on the idividual student and what they do in their spare time.

Again thinking that the s'pore system revolves around grades and academic performance a lot. It may be that their statistical educational system compromises on creativity and innovation.
