Does anyone know of a program which scans emails for particular text? I get emails for viagra everyday and im sick of clicking block and bounce sender because they are from a different sender each day. I want a program which will scan for text, say...."VldAGRA for LESS" and if it sees it then deletes the email automatically. Or better still dumps it in a folder so I can go through them. I use AVG which scans for viruses but not pain in the arse emails. I also use Incredimail (not my choice!) so if anyone knows of an email client which might do this I dont mind changing. I have been tempted to try ThunderBird for ages but dont know how transfering my emails over stands. Many Thanks
What is your e-mail client? All you need to do is create a rule to filter messages with Viagra in the subject and/or body of the message. The rule will chuck the messsage straight in the bin. How to do this depends on your client...
i use TB although i've never user a junk filter but i think Opera does a good job (although opera's mail client can be difficult to to understand (cos you create filters for different folders)
Thunderbird works well, and has very good catch accuracy once it's been trained for a while. Importing mail into it is trivial.
I installed thunderbird before and have just found a program which converts my incredimail backup to something thunderbird can use. Thanks for the replies!
