    Hi.

1st Hope y'all had good holidays.

2nd Huge thanx for superfast help t'other day on these here forums. Was really informative.

3rd here is my question, lol. I have a P4 640 with 64Bit Tech, I am looking for MoBo's and not all i look at show whether it's EM64T capable, just wondering whether all LGA775 boards are EM64T capable????

The board im looking at is the ASUS SOCKET 775 P5RD1-V

Yes not great i know but hoping it's EM64T capable & will get me half way there to having PCI-E GFX.

Happy new year to all

EDIT: I'm seeing the words '90nm process technology' is this indicating whether it's EM64T compatible

All socket compatible motherboards will let you take advantage of iAMD64, if its an old one however it may require the BIOS to be updated. I'm not too sure on that though.

64bit isn't mainstream right now, so our advice is that you stick with 32 bit (if you're using Windows) until 64 bit drivers are more widespread and applications take advantage of it. Otherwise there's not much point.

You don't however have ot have 64 bit CPU to use PCI-E.

    Is iAMD64 intels stab at 64bit (EM64T)?

So any new Pentuim4 board that's LGA775 will support the 64Bit right?

I see 1 board that has the ATI express 200 Chipset, this supports EM64T, yet other boards with the same chipset and LGA775 Skt dont say whether or not it does :eek:hah:

Just need to be getting ready for the future, lol.
