Hi, I am running Windows XP and have recently bought Red Alert 2, this game worked fine, and now I am trying to play the expansion of this game, Yuri's revenge. The game has installed ok but when I go to play the game the screen goes black and then comes up with a "microsoft error report" and asks me if i want to send or not send it to Microsoft. I thought that it could have been my disc so my brother tried it and it loaded fine for him, and I tried his disc- I am still getting the same problem. His computer runs Windows ME, and given that mine is XP and it wasnt around when the game was made could this be the reason why the game isnt working- I have never known any other games to be like this? If not could it be a fault with my computer? I have tried both disc drives on it and there is still the same problem. Any help/ suggestions will be much appreciated. Cheers
Some of the older games tend not to work with XP; maybe you should try the compatibility mode. Right click on the .exe > properties > compatibility mode Set it to windows 98 Maybe that would help. also update the game to the latest patch http://www.download.com/Command-Conquer-Red-Alert-2-1-006-patch/3000-7488_4-10236245.html
