got a problem with Excel 2003, when I load up a new document 50% of the documents I load up i have trouble scrolling with. I click on any cell with the cursor it locks to that cell and then when i move the mouse i cant select anything with it, it just scrolls up and down the page highlighting cells but not allowing me to select them, has anyone got any idea how to stop it doing this.

Your cells might be locked or something, I have no good idea about your problem but an alternative.

click on on cell, press shift key and with arrow keys you can select the cells. If you want to select random cells then hold control key and use arrow key, press tab on the cell which you want to select. You can use control A for selectin all the cells.

This might be an old post - but I have been having the same problems for thelast couple of weeks - the ONLY solution is to re-boot - It appears to be a software conflict of some sort

    But re-booting does work

That is the ONLY solution I have been able to come up with so far
