I have a "normal" 3.5 inch hard drive which I used to connect to my laptop using a Digitus docking station. It was working great on Windows XP where I had to activate it first in Disk Management. Now I have upgraded to Windows 7 and I can't do it anymore. Every time I click Reactivate Disk in Disk Management (on Disk 1 Dynamic, Invalid), it returns the following error: This operation is not allowed on the invalid disk pack. The other options available in the Disk 1 context menu are: Convert to Basic Disk (which removes all data from the disk and I don't want that), Import Foreign Disks (which I think it's the one I must use, but it's grayed out), Offline, Properties and Help.

    Please help.
    Thanks.

I found this thread from another forum where a user had a similar problem as you. He used a program called HxD to change a hex entry on the disk and then it worked. One of the users in the forum had exact same problem as you have, it used to work under xp and then got the error in win7 and he said it worked for him too (user was Redrum-x). This is the link if you want to give it a try. Dynamic Disk Invalid
