I want to get a external hard drive but I do have limited budget. I want a hard drive which is reliable rather offering me fancy functions. I am not sure should I go for self-built one or a ready to use one.

    My budget = 70 quid
    HDD size = 250GB.

Anyone pls give me some suggestions.

    A big thank you

    Here you go :)

Sumvision 3.5" Black Hard Drive Enclosure USB 2.0 Black available at Micro Direct Ltd UK
250 GB Samsung SP2514N 7200rpm 8Mb Cache IDE ATA133 Hard Drive oem (3yr Warranty) available at Micro Direct Ltd UK

The above comes to £65.54 including delivery, or

Freecom 250GB 7200 USB2.0 3.5" External Hard Disk Drive available at Micro Direct Ltd UK

which is a ready built external HDD for £71.78 including postage, but i would recommend the build it yourself option, as the hard drive has 4x the cache (8MB, the ready built drive only has 2MB) and a Longer warranty (3 years, ready build has 2 years).

    hope this helps.
