Hello guys. I am once again here for support.

I have a external hard drive that has 500GB of space. I would like to partition this into 3 disks.

Here is how i want to do it-
Disk 1: Storage (for files and backups or watever) 300GB
Disk 2: Ubuntu (disk for the ubuntu os) 100GB
Disk 3: Windows 7 (disk for the windows 7 os, if i choose to use this or another os) 100GB

I am looking for an easy way to do this. I have tried going into the control panel and computer management but next to my drive it has one box that is unallocated and it only allows for 1MB. So thats not helping.... HELP!!! lol thanks guys.

Under computer management: you need to delete the 500GB partition first, then you should be able to create the necessary partitions one by one. (deleting the partition will result in loss of your data)

Alternatively I tend to recommend Partition Magic Download - Partition Software - Partition Hard Drive | Norton PartitionMagic you can use it to create/re-size/move partitions etc (not free).

Free alternative but not used it myself Ranish Partition Manager. Hard Disk Partitioning Software. Download freeware tools and source code...
