hy everybody! I really need some help!
this is my setup: Toshiba satellite [email protected],1 Gb ram,ati radeon 9700 series,Xvid, and an external sound card:Trust SC-5500P 5.1 External surround Soundcard,Trust 5.1 External Surround Sound Card SC-5500p (14134) through usb and no external electrical alimentation0.i have two options in installing this sh#$%t:with the drivers and without the drivers.the problem is that with the drivers installed i have 5.1 surround sound with a creative 5.1 system but after exactly 37 minutes all I can hear is a gargling sound and the picture is acting like hell: it goes forward like being pressed the ffwd button on an old vhs player(if you remember);now if i uninstall these drivers i only have sound in the front speakers the center and the subwoofer. I have set the speakers out to 5.1 in the win control panel. I use AC3 0.70b and this happens with all the players i’ve tried: vlc, bsplayer, mpc.I really don’t know what to do next.i use a tv hooked on the laptop through s-video tv-out in dual video mode, and if I grab the image to put it on the laptop screen the gargling sound disappears and the image is again correctly played can somebody give me a clue?

Try downloading their latest drivers from their website.....

Did you check your computer for viruses. If you dont have one then download free Avast Home edition and see if there is any virus threatning your computer.

Make sure that you have turned off your onboard sound coz it can happen due to clash.

Go to Device Manager, select your onboard sound card and under use this device select Disable.
Try to fiddle around in the BIOS again and disable it from there coz thats the best place I believe.

Remove your Sound Card and Insert in a Different PCI Slot...

    Hi

I can tell you that this is not a problem of your computer, as I am experiencing the EXACT same situation. After a half an hour the sound starts going on very fast like crazy. If I stop the current song (WINAMP), press a few times previous and next song, then it's okay for another half an hour again.

    My System:
    Inspiron 6400
WinXP SP2 (Clean new System, formated myself)
    Winamp
    Newest Driver installed

I believe that there are others expiriencing the same problems... Could anybody solve this?

    Thanks
