just look at this, how has this person done it, 630/554

    http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k3=4239231

    memory clock: 630
    core clock: 554

how the hell has he done this, i overclocked my core to 554 and leaved memory at 560, and on 2nd benchmark of 3d mark 03, it locked up.

Not all cards are created equal, just like cpus. Just because Bills 3800 oc's to 3Ghz doesn't mean Hughbert's will. You've got a good card on your hand I wouldn't try pushing it that far anyway. Just play games on it, you can benchmark all day but in my experience all their good for is making you feel like your computer sucks. If you're not having problems playing all the current titles don't bother.

its just someone said that they managed to get a gf4 ti 4800 or whatever its callled, to get over 20,000 in 3d mark 01, and that some 9800xt's can go over 30,000.

i seem to be getting better benchmark results than those of my card on toms hardware, i got 12,190 on 3d mark 03 when overclocked core from 520mhz to 540mhz.

    64,000 in aqua mark 3

and then with agp aperture size to 256mb, wtf 19900 in 3d mark 01 :s

    What Exfoliate said! :)
Plus that guys card probably was a different brand and had better cooling!

idle temp on graphics card is usually about 43 degrees.

do you think i would get better performance if i buy an AC COOLER for my graphics card, and do you think i will be able to overclock it more?

If you're idling at 43* don't bother, that's way lower than mine was. Those VGA coolers aren't the greatest, they don't cool a whole lot better than stock but they are quiet. The performance boost of a few extra MHz wouldn't even be noticeable, especially when you consider the money you'd have to spend.

    Lol, nice one:p

Will I don't think you need to overclock anything. Ocing it to 600Mhz isn't going to make Doom 3 and FEAR and GTA:SA suddly work perfectly. Yes if you bough some very good fans you could possibly bump it up that high but your card may only be able to hit 580Mhz for examle. You can fool around with the voltage and tweak your settings all you like but in the end is that 100Mhz worth it? You're just going to have to accept that your hardware is not going to out-bench someone elses. I had a hard time learning that lesson but I got over it.

but its an x800xt pe, an x800xt pe v an x800xt pe, they should be able ot be evenly matched, mine matching one by oc'ing it.

yes i can see what you're saying but different companies have different quality cards, and even if they're the same company a variation in the building of one card from another is a big difference, and when you consider all the little things that go into making one of those cards lots of variations = an even bigger difference, things like quality of components - not all components are exactly the same, quality of build, the build is generally the same but little things can be different.
And thats just the card, different CPU's RAM Motherboards can make the same cards work differently...accept it willhub his card got a higher bench score than yours, is it really that big a deal?!
    EDIT: w00t 900 posts!

no i'm not saying that, i was saying that even cards made by the same company have different qualities about them, i bet if you took 2 of the same card and tested them in the same machine you wont get the same results...anyone wanna back me up? (or slate me for what i'm saying)

How come does alot of sites still say the x800xt pe is the worlds most fastest and powerfull vpu, i know, its got a faster gpu speed than the 7800gtx, but that doesent mean its the most powerfull doesent it?

what would a 7800gtx be like with the x800xt pe core on it?

dont know but its not all about the speed, the 7800GTX has 24 Piplines, 8 vertex shaders etc...

i think they should make somthing like an X800XTE PE

XTE (the E stands for EXTREME), so its practically an X800XT PE exept with 24 pipelines and 10 vertex shaders :D, or why not X800EX
    OR X900PRO/X900XT/X900XT PE>>>>>>>>>> X950XT PEE

    X800ULTRA
    X850ULTRA

because if it had 24 pipelines and 10 vertex shaders i'm sure they'd work on a new card,
