Yeah from what I say at my friends house it's pretty unsettling. Damn cool though. The thing runs awfully well on his rig though waffles so I guess it's all about the gfx card as he's the one with the P4 1.9Ghz but he has a 6800GT.
A guy was playing F.E.A.R at school today on his laptop (graphics were pretty good, not amazing like on a desktop but it ran okay for a laptop, got a little jittery in places), apparently he has a pretty killer desktop setup at home and it runs with amazing graphics on that, it looked very good, and the little girl appreaing randomly and doing that weird stuff...FREAKY!
the game won't run on my computer with sound. have to disable sound, movies, everything sound related to even start and it screws up on first level when you get out of the car i get out before the dumpster so i can't continue on with the rest of the game.
Hmm strange, a bad download maybe?
I really don't know what to say, someone else might...sorry I couldn't help ninja...
*strikes ninja pose...kicks door*
Must be something other than your GFX card strangling it then because I'm running FEAR with all Maximum settings (auto-detected) and it runs just fine on a 6600GT.
Wow, you guys don't know what it's like to game with low fps. I played UT2004 all the way though the campaign with a max of 20fps. Usually it was around 14 or 15. I was so stupid I refused to turn the detail down:rolleyes: (this was on a Mac by the way which would explain a few things).
Hehe, thanks but if I get 14fps offline, dial up will turn that into 14fps with lag:eek: It's crazy playing that on the Mac and then moving to something like Doom 3 on the PC that looks way better yet gives me 60fps. You don't always get what you pay for in all cases I guess depending on your needs anyway.
