i won't be doing much gaming with this pc as most games are starting to become dull to me. i would like to play things like front mission evolution, the next stalker game and the witch 2 with max settings. i am hoping to be able to get a discount on the photoshop master suite so that i can buy it though.

but really is the powercolor 6850 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131442worth $60 more than the gigabyte 6770 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125386?

i figured if i buy cheaper cards i can buy them more often. maybe every 2 years or so. and in 2 years i could probably get something several times the power of the 6850 for around $100, right?

also, how exactly is air supposed to flow through the fins on the power color?

if your wanting to run say witcher 2 on max settings your gonna have to fork out some money for something like 59xx or 69xx.
you can probably do like medium settings with those cards you listed.
the idea of swapping out cards isn't bad except at some point the technology might change and you may have to get another motherboard/cpu/mem.
i would stick with the 6850 just cause you want to play witcher 2.
if you end up getting a video card with no fans its considered to use passive cooling.
the heat from the video card transfers to the heatsink and then dissipates through the many separated fins.
