I get a blure screen when I power up with the message of security warning and it says I have a faal error occurred at 0028:c0011e36 in vxd vmm(01)+ 00010e36 and it is being caused by Trojan_Spy.HTML.Smitfraud.c How can I correct this rom occurring and don't laugh if this seems like a easy fix. I am totally computer illiterate, but am trying to bring myself into the new age.

I'm certainly not laughing about your problem, as trojans are a very critical type of virus which likely means you have not been in complete control of your system for some time. Judging from you 'vxd' error, I'm guessing you're running a version of Windows from what we call the 9x family -- in other words 95, 98, and ME. Likely, the damage has already been done. You'll more than likely need to reformat and reinstall your operating system from scratch.
Our Networking and Security FAQ may be of some assistance, but I'm afraid it's probably too late for your Windows install.
