I am in need of some help. I just bought Final FantasyXI Online and have had everything installed as of last night. When I updated, it froze twice and locked my whole computer up. Finally I was able to get the updates and the game started up. As soon as I get into the game I either freeze or look at lines of graphics messed up, depending on where I move, then I lock up. I was using the newest version of ati.com drivers, and was told by the support for the game to switch to catalyst 5.3 drivers and use them instead, the problems just stayed the same. My computer has been cleaned, formated, so I dont see what could be running that would slow or mess me up. The side of my case is open with a fan constantly blowing air on everything so my insides stay pretty cool. Here are my computer specs. Every other game like Guild Wars, Natural-Slection (any hl mod) run fine.

    Rosewill Radeon9800 Pro 128MB ram
    1.4ghz celeron
    512mb ram
    Windows Xp Pro Sp2

    Thanks...

that would be the problem . that paticular card requires either a 400 or 450 watt . I dont remember exactly which of the two it is. niether is extremly expensive though. go with the 450 just to be safe though  . I play FFXI as well. and my video card is rather old. a Geforce FX 5500 PCI card. (piece of :swear: that it is)

Which brand of power supply would be recommended? As I have heard by many others that brand really does matter.
