Been using IE, but now I'm looking to change.
Which is better? Firefox 2 (beta) or Opera 9 (beta)?

About me: I use both of them coz there are some pages where Opera doesnt work but firefox and vice a versa. But in first instance I would prefer Opera coz its startup is faster than FF.

Does opera have a bunch of themes and extensions comparable to what's available for FF? I didn't think it did, but I never looked into it.

    Good :)

Opera is a very clean and polished browser. It's also one of the most secure browsers.

Opera doesn't use extensions as such, instead it uses widgets which are basically small programs contained within the browser. Some widgets can tell you the weather for example. My favourite Opera widget is probably the mini Connect4 game :)

I like Opera, but hate the menu layout and the fact that it takes a bloody year for me to have all my buttons, feeds customised like my firefox setup.

I'm also into FOSS, so Firefox is my primary browser. Opera is nice, but I like the freedom thing (although not as much as Richard Stallman).

I've always wondered why there was a BT client included with Opera? Why? Its inferior to a dedicated torrent client, and doesn't include nearly as many features/configuration options.

There is a speech tool in opera, you can use that to pronounce Opera...

In that list of browser comparisons, they forgot a few awesome features in IE7 which aren't present in the other browsers!

[IMG] Annoying-as-hell "nagging" method to keep you "safe", which cannot easily be disabled.

[IMG] Horribly sluggish, counter-intuitive, badly-implemented tab behaviour.

[IMG] Same nasty vulnerabilities as are present in IE6.

[IMG] Lack of support for higher than 128-bit encryption.

[IMG] Absolutely no coherence to established W3C web standards.

The choice is clear! But if only I could get IE7 running in WINE... :(

Decided to get Firefox also...and its great!
If you compare Opera and Firefox together with their "factory" settings, Opera wins, but if you get firefox and add all the extensions you want then, firefox wins.
What are some good add-ons? I got a few already, looking for more
