Although Mozilla.org's excellent Firefox web browser blocks popups by default, there are some sneakier types of popups that can get by under the radar. These are usually generated by Flash or Java plugins, and generally cannot be avoided unless one is to block all legitimate popups as well... until now.

One of the Firefox developers has released a trial plugin that will address this issue, called PopupsMustDie. It handles popups on a white-list basis, meaning you block all popups by default, including Java & Flash, only allowing them only on sites on which you need popups. Simple yet effective or an over simplification? Only time will tell. Read the blog for more detail.

a very simple solution, shame no one thought of it before, I would think the same could be done to IE.
