Hey all,

I have heard of a FireWire cable to use to connect my camcorder to my PC, are there any advantages to using FireWire??

well, Firewire can transfer data @ about 400kb/s (kb/s = kilobits per second, not Kb/s = Kilobytes per second which is about 10 times faster than a serial port, whereas USB can transfer data @ about 12kb/s & USB2 can transfer @ about 480kb/s

BTW but remember that these speeds are the theoretical maximum which is never actually achived
