I have a 3+ year old computer; Intel E6700/winXP. Yesterday it began to act strange in that it stopped recognizing keystrokes. I determined that it was not the keyboard. I restarted it with some difficulty because momentarily, it would not power on. I finally got it started and they keyboard began working. While this is going on, there is not problem with the mouse or any other type of unusual behavior. Today the keyboard quit again and eventually it would not power up at all. I removed the power supply and it starts on the bench and has all the required outputs.
My assumption now is that I need to replace the mobo. I just thought I would check in here on the off chance that someone would recognize this problem.
Thanks for any assistance you may be able to provide.
