This is my first ever attempt at making a signature for any forum with photoshop so that explains why it is so bad... :)
 
Nice progression of orange from the fruit to the name. Subtle background texture. Not at all bad for the first time out. You're too modest. Did you photograph the orange?
 
Google image search : Orange, I just added some satin and a glow to it :D

When i've got more time i will try and find out more about how to use photoshop and lets hope my next one is a bit better :)
 
Glad you're here! I'm a beginner at signatures too, but there are people here who can do AMAZING things... and give you answers when you need them. Which version of photoshop are you using? (Illustrator? Elements? or something else?)
 
I use photoshop 7.0 havent bothered with others, pretty nice for your first sig : ) i dont think i like the glow on the orange and take the stroke on the text to 1pxl looks better. gj :good:
 
Thanks for all the tips, i've taken them into account and i'll consider them when i make my next one :)
 
I use 7, I'm trying to obtain a copy of CS, but not really worth it.

See how much better it looks with the border? Gives it a finished look.
