I just put together a computer. Everything works except the floppy drive and the Iomega zip drive. They both are shown in my computer but when I put a disk in either it keeps asking for a disk to be put in. The CD drives both work. I have tried 2 different floppy drives, both are new ones. What could I have done wrong?? I have also tried 2 different cables. The cables are in the correct position with the ribbon end on the floppy. The zip drive is a slave to the HD.

Well first if possible you shouldnt have the ZIP on the HDD cable because then the HDD has to work as slow as the ZIP drive!
Try going into command prompt and seeing if they are read then, just type in A: and hit enter!
Turn off floppy seek in the BIOS and if it still doesnt work try them in a different computer and they they work, then it might be windows!
